I do not think that CDPR is abandoning Cyberpunk as an IP, but I do think they might end up abandoning Cyberpunk 2077 as a game after this year in favor of putting their full weight behind a new Witcher, a future new Cyberpunk, or both, as the company says it will be working on franchises simultaneously going forward. But no, I am no longer expecting some grand No Man’s Sky style turnaround for the game now that the online dream is dead and CDPR is extremely reluctant to talk about the future past 6-8 months from now. It does feel like they’re just going to move on.
